Insured Property Losses from Catastrophes
PCS Canada investigates catastrophes which impact the insurance industry and determines the extent and type of damage, dates of occurrence, and geographic areas affected. PCS Canada assigns serial numbers that assist with tracking losses from each catastrophe and provides information that helps you:
- Identify the severity of catastrophe events
- Deploying adjusters to affected areas through use of PCS post-event tools by providing peril map visuals
- Aggregate losses under PCS serial numbers for specific events to improve service billing accuracy
PCS Canada produces estimates that keep insurers, their customers, regulators, and other interested parties informed about the total costs of disasters. Insurance companies and independent adjusters contribute significantly to the economic recovery following a catastrophe; PCS Canada reports on the value of that contribution and its effect on insurers.
